Question 1

What is nFramed?

Accepted Answer

nFramed is a multi-display media server. It drives 4K video walls from one machine on a single show clock and maps projectors onto any surface with corner-pin and mesh warp. Pro adds multi-machine shows that chase SMPTE LTC timecode, and show control: LTC in and out, OSC in and out, and Art-Net/DMX output.

Question 2

Is there a free version, and how much does nFramed cost?

Accepted Answer

Every download runs every feature free, with no time limit; projected output carries a watermark until a licence is activated. An nFramed Lite licence is $299 one-time, for macOS or Windows. nFramed Lite is also on the Mac App Store as a separate product, watermarked until you take its yearly subscription at the price your App Store shows.

Question 3

Does nFramed run on Windows?

Accepted Answer

Yes. nFramed Lite runs on Windows 10 (1809) or later, x64, and on macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon.

Question 4

Does nFramed do projection mapping?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Corner-pin plus a mesh warp map onto flat walls, curves, domes, and overlapping multi-projector setups with soft-edge blending.
